Welcome to the new era of my content with a new name, a new look, a new brand and new pricing!
I had the idea of spiritual homegirl a few months ago but kept dismissing it – even when one of my friends called me her spiritual homegirl without knowing I was contemplating using that as my newsletter name.
I finally decided to make the change after I did a tarot reading for myself, specifically about my business, and Spirit was loud!
MY TAROT READING
When I did a reading for myself, I asked my tarot deck the following questions:
What direction should I take in my business?
Anything else I should know about the direction I should take my business?
What direction should I take in my business?
I got The High Priestess, 3 of Cups, and The Sun.
The High Priestess advises slowing down and consulting your inner voice regarding the matter at hand.
The 3 of Cups represents parties, reunions, good fortune, hobbies, renewed health, collaborations, spending time with friends and team players. The image was of three women enjoying each other’s company.
The Sun encourages that no matter how dark it is now, the light is coming, and everything is gonna be all right. Be willing and able to share your glory, your life, and your power with others. This isn’t the time to lay low, this is time to shine.
Anything else I should know about the direction I should take my business?
I got The Judgement card reversed and The Star reversed.
The Judgement Card reversed states that there may be an important decision being avoided because you fear the changes it will create your life… You may have outgrown a relationship, job, situation, or limiting structure… Even though you don’t feel ready, you may need to terminate some aspect of your life… you may need to cut your losses and proceed in a more constructive direction.
The Star retains much of its positive meaning in a reverse position. You may, however, be unaware of the spiritual riches that surround you. As a result, there may be a delay in your plan or some difficulty with a venture. A pessimistic attitude or lack of confidence may get in the way of happiness. You are focusing on the glass half empty rather than half full.
Your skittishness may cause you to overlook promising opportunities. There is cause to have faith in the future. You may be having a hard time accepting the help being offered. You may be blind to your own acres of diamonds.
MY INTERPRETATION
I need to listen to my intuition about my business and newsletter, according to The High Priestess card. Since I got the 3 of Cups, I’m thinking maybe this newsletter and business is supposed to be a hobby OR maybe I’m being told that I need to have the attitude and excitement of a hobby when it comes to the newsletter and business. Either way, The Sun mentions I’m supposed to shine and share my gifts.
I may have outgrown the way I’ve been doing the business and/or newsletter, according to the Judgement card reversed, so I did some research on what has worked so far in both so I can know how to move forward.
Unfortunately, it’s true that I have been unaware of the spiritual riches around me as The Star card in reverse mentioned. To be honest, I’m not sure what that fully entails but my boyfriend tells me I tend to downplay spiritual things I do. I’ve also been having a pessimistic attitude about my business and a lack of confidence because I haven’t seen the results I desire but that is delaying my progress in more ways than one, which is why I’m giving y’all a gift.
MY GIFT TO YOU
I’ve been blessed to have been on my spirituality journey for a decade. Most of my earlier experiences were guided by a combination of teachers and books.
While I still read books, this year was the first year I truly took control of my spiritual journey:
I did my own spiritual reading for the year; I developed a weekly tarot ritual to check in with cosmic crew
I did a few spiritual baths on my own that helped me a lot
I listened to the signs around me for confirmation, including if I needed to get a deeper reading from someone else, rather than constantly seeking external validation and spiritual work from others.
As a result, I’ve started getting more confident in my abilities and intuition.
Whether I had a formal teacher or learned in solitude, I’ve spent a lot of money to get things done but I’ve also had teachers and readers who have given me discounts, allowed me to pay what I could via donations or who have offered their services to me for free.
I want to pay it forward from the experiences I’ve had so I can help others as well.
Initially, I had a $100 offer for people to have a one on one spiritual clarity session with me.
Now, until further notice, this offering will be called “Chat with your Spiritual Homegirl” and tiered in three levels from $10-$30 for 30 minutes.
It will be the same 30 minutes and experience regardless of how much you spend – think of it as a pay what you can option.
I am offering this tiered system in case you have questions but aren’t ready to commit to a higher-priced service.
In the future, I may create ebooks, classes and guides at different price points but this is a service I feel so strongly about that I want to make sure people have the ability to talk about their spiritual journey at an affordable price.
If you aren’t able to afford the tiered service, please review my free newsletter when my site is back live, which I will announce in a future newsletter. I plan on organizing the newsletter editions by topic to make searching for topics easier.
So I’m welcoming you on this journey with me to see if this is the start of a beautiful, lucrative business or a beautiful, impactful hobby 😊
